MUMBAI: The IIT-Bombay Alumni Association launched its global business forum in the city on Friday. The forum aims to drive innovation by bringing together industry leaders, policy-makers and the IIT-B community, including teachers, students and alumni.
The forum will also provide a platform to showcase original technologies and research.
The goal is to make a business model easily accessible and affordable.
The forum will work through its eight special interest groups (SIGs). Every SIG will have a specialist mentor. The aim is to introduce 10 start-ups by each of the SIGs.
IIt-B professor DB Pathak, economist Ajit Ranade, and Ashank Desai, founder and former chairman of Mastek Ltd attended the launch.
This year the global business forum will be held from October 16 to 18 in Goa.
